A Passion for Heirloom Cooking
Founded in Charleston, South Carolina, Ironhearth Foundry emerged from a simple realization: the vintage 19th-century Griswold and Wagner cast iron skillets collected by our grandmothers were smoother, lighter, and vastly superior to modern bumpy mass-market pans.
We set out to master the classic greensand casting technique combined with CNC precision machining and multi-stage hand buffing. The result is cookware that marries timeless Southern culinary traditions with unparalleled modern performance.
100% Virgin American Iron
Melted and poured in American foundries with strict purity testing and zero toxic additives or coatings.
Micro-Satin Interior
Each pan spends over 45 minutes on our custom polishing wheels to create an ultra-smooth natural release surface.
The Three Pillars of Ironhearth
Hand-Finished Smoothness
Unlike pebbled modern commercial pans that rip delicate fish skins and cling to eggs, our polished interior creates a slick cooking surface that seasons faster and becomes effortlessly non-stick with each meal.
Thermal Balance & Ergonomics
Engineered with generous base thickness for exceptional heat retention and tapered sidewalls that shed excess weight. Our ergonomic handles stay cooler on stove burners and provide steady two-hand control.
Generational Durability
We do not make disposable cookware. Every piece is guaranteed for life. When you purchase an Ironhearth skillet, you are purchasing an heirloom that will be cooked with by your children and grandchildren.
